Contentivity™ : System Requirements Server Installation Requirements
Contentivity is based on the .Net framework and is installed as a web application under IIS. The following components are needed to install the CMS and Delivery servers:
- Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server
- .Net Framework 2.0
- IIS 6.0
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008
The CMS Server and Delivery Server do not have to reside on the same physical server. You can install the CMS Server within your own network as long as it can communicate with the Delivery Server. Communication between the CMS Server and Delivery Server occurs through Web Services. No other communication method is required between the CMS and Delivery Servers.
For every site managed in the CMS Server you can have a different Delivery Server assigned for publishing. Both the CMS Server and Delivery Server require access to an SQL Server and each requires their own database.
Client Requirements
In order for users to access the CMS server it is required that they have the following software available on their system.
Microsoft Windows® 98 / ME / NT / 2000 / XP / Vista / Mac OSX
Internet Explorer 6.0 / Firefox 1.5 or higher
