VideoWeb™ : System Requirements Server Installation Requirements
VideoWeb is based on the .Net framework and is installed as a web application under IIS. The following components are needed to install the VideoWeb Management and Delivery servers:
- Windows 2000/2003 Server
- .Net Framework 2.0
- IIS 6.0/Firefox 1.5 or higher
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005
The VideoWeb Management and Delivery Server do not have to reside on the same physical server. You can install the Management Server within your own network as long as it can communicate with the Delivery Server. Communication between the Management Server and Delivery Server occurs through Web Services. No other communication method is required between the Management and Delivery Servers.
For every Video Web managed in the Management Server you can have a different Delivery Server assigned for publishing. Both the Management Server and Delivery Server require access to an SQL Server and each requires their own database.
Client Requirements
In order for users to access the Management Server it is required that they have the following software available on their system.
Microsoft Windows® 98 / ME / NT / 2000 / XP / Vista / Mac OSX
Internet Explorer 6.0 / Firefox 1.5 or higher
